Milestone testing is coming up, and we are SO excited about all we have learned! Let's show that we are ready to 'tackle the test' with an awesome Spirit Week before our much deserved Spring Break! :)
MONDAY - HAT DAY: Top off your score…wear your favorite hat!
TUESDAY - JERSEY DAY: Tackle that test! Wear your favorite jersey that gets you PUMPED!
WEDNESDAY - SILLY SOCK DAY: Knock the socks off that test!
THURSDAY- HAWAIIAN DAY: Lu-“wow” us with your scores! …. Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses and leis!
FRIDAY - PAJAMA DAY: Rest for the test!
Reading: We have been working on comparing and contrasting different items in texts from the same author. We are finishing up our first Literature Circle. The students have really seemed to love it! We will hopefully have new novels for each group after spring break.
Math:
We are continuing to work on elapsed time and also measuring. Please have your child practice telling time and elapsed time on IXL.
Writing: This week we started working on A Diary of a ____________ project. The students are pretending to be an object to practice using voice in their writing.
Social Studies: This week we studied Eleanor Roosevelt. Next week we will move onto Thurgood Marshall.
